USE OF ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEWS
The quantity and quality of data collected by TDEC-DNA are dependent on the research and observations of many individuals and organizations. In most cases, this information is not the result of comprehensive or site-specific field surveys. Most locations in Tennessee have never been thoroughly surveyed and new plants and animals are still being discovered. For these reasons, TDEC-DNA cannot provide a definitive statement on the presence, absence, or condition of biological elements in any part of Tennessee. ERT reports summarize the existing information known to TDEC-DNA at the time of the request regarding the biological elements or locations in question. They should never be regarded as final statements on the elements or areas being considered, nor should they be substituted for on-site surveys required for environmental assessments.
RESPONSIBLITY FOR PAYMENT OF INVOICES
A data services fee of $275 is typically charged for each project review generated by the ERT. When applicable, the $275 fee is presented in an invoice page at the front of the ERT Report. Payment for environmental review reports is expected within 30 days of report generation by one of the methods accepted by TDEC-DNA. TDEC-DNA reserves the right to limit submission of additional reports where outstanding payments have been identified. Generating a new report for a project that has already been submitted – using “Generate Report” in the Project Page following an update to a project area or to refresh the information provided by TDEC-DNA after an extended time - will not accrue an additional fee.
CREATING AND MANAGING GROUPS
If you create a group for your organization or business unit/office of your company, you will be identified as the Managing Group Administrator ("Group Admin"). The Group Admin manages who can access the group and is the point of contact for any inquiries or updates to the group. It is the responsibility of the Group Admin to verify group members have provided accurate account registration information, to deactivate/remove members who have retired or left their organization, and to ensure all group members understand the appropriate use of the ERT.
PARCEL DATA
The property maps represented on this site are compiled from information maintained by your local county Assessor’s office and are a best-fit visualization of how all the properties in a county relate to one another. The property lines are determined by examining detailed property descriptions on deeds and by using surveys created by a licensed surveyor but are not conclusive evidence of property ownership in any court of law. If you feel your property is drawn in error, you should contact your local Assessor's office and work with them to resolve the discrepancy. The parcel data used in the TN-ERT are provided solely to assist with drawing project area boundaries when submitting environmental review requests , do not contain ownership or other parcel data, and are not updated as regularly as those available at https://tnmap.tn.gov/assessment/. Parcel data in TN-ERT should NEVER be considered authoritative.
